How It Works
1. Select Your Source
Choose music folders on your computer or a NAS share mounted in your operating system. Audio Vault reads files read-only — it never modifies your source library.
2. Upload with Verification
The web app requests short-lived upload URLs from the API. Audio bytes travel directly to private object storage (Cloudflare R2 by default), not through the public website host. Each file is tracked through upload, retry, and checksum verification before it appears as verified in your library.
3. Organize Your Catalog
Browse folders, artists, albums, and tracks. Edit display metadata when you want; stored audio files never change. Optional AcoustID and MusicBrainz matching can suggest titles — you stay in control of what is applied.
4. Listen in the Browser
Play supported original formats in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge. Install the PWA on mobile for a home-screen shortcut. Streamer controls in v1 are simulated — they do not send audio to physical hardware yet.
5. Manage Your Account
One capped paid plan (pricing) includes 2 TB storage. Billing runs through Stripe. Cancel anytime via the customer portal; see terms for billing details.
